Fran has done such a good job quilting this for me. I bought the aliens material because Ben discovered the idea of aliens and loved talking about them.

Here's a close up of the fish in one of the blogs. About the time I made this quilt, I'd drive home with Ben from the early childhood centre, and he'd ask about going fishing.

I just picked up a new quilt from the machine quilter. I've bordered it with hot air balloons, and she's quilted a hot air balloon pattern all over. I made it years ago, when Ben had a fixation with aliens. Nice to get it finally done.

Lego in the car

The boys have been playing with lego all the way to school in the mornings and all the way back. It's cute. Every now and then I see someone flying a new lego plane in the rear vision mirror. Usually, they read books.

Zoo day Sunday

The boys met up with Liam at the zoo - Liam was in Vanuatu with us and he's flown down from Brisbane. We spent a couple of hours there and saw EVERY animal in the zoo! Except a bear who was trying to hibernate.

Ben's sewing

Ben sewed this doll at school. Love the way they made the mauve curly hair. My grandma used to have her hair curled and dyed mauve or blue. Don't think old ladies do that these days?

Cat - Andrew's graphic design

Andrew designed a cat and a fishbowl. I just love it, it's my computer's wallpaper now.

Bootcamp

Today, all four of us went to bootcamp. It was a charity event to raise money for a humidi crib for one of the hospitals. The event raised $2000. We were filthy - it's been raining during the week.

Snowballs

Long story. I have a hire car at the moment because someone whacked into the back of me. And it's too big to park in the garage. So this morning, there was "snow" to scrape off the windscreen before we could start off. Halfway to dropping the kids at school, I realised Ben had the snowball in the car with us, and he was getting wet. He had to throw it out the window.

Ben's cardboard town

Ben and I had a lazy morning at home this morning. I'm ploughing through The girl who played with fire (and doing the washing) and Ben decided to make a cardboard town. He says he's put tyre skids on the road! Obviously, he's seen a few in his time...
