49 xplusalong blocks
I estimate I have 35 more to go now.
I'm enjoying this block because it uses so many scrappy colours (the way I'm doing it).
I'm finding that it's one of those blocks that grows on you, where the whole is greater than the pieces.
I've even used my last little piece of lemon monkey fabric that I couldn't bring myself to part with.
And I've been using some great blue baking fabric that Carol gave me last weekend. Thanks Carol!!

Carolyn Sullivan quilt
I do adore these gorgeous understated pieces by #carolynsullivan an embroiderer and quilter. Lots of her work was on show today. This meticulous embroidery would have taken so long.
Peace quilt
Foundation pieced peace quilt by #margaretrolfe Another stunner. Margaret said she started this in 2003 putting all her hope into each block that we wouldn't go to war.
Margaret and her quilts
Would love to use a limited amount of fabrics and do my own version of this quilt. Using limited amount of fabrics would be a real challenge for me!!
Margaret Rolfe
#margaretrolfe showing a retrospective of her quilts in Goulburn. This quilt is a stunner.
#margaretrolfe at Mandelsons in Goulburn
I went to Goulburn for the day today. Margaret Rolfe gave an amazine retrospective of her quilting, which started in 1975.
