Perfect man for a quilter...

Had to laugh a this. Although, I'm not sure if I'd want my husband/ partner/ boyfriend folding my quilt fabric for me.

It's a chore, definitely, but organising is a way of reminding yourself of what is in your stash.

Plus, organising your stash might give you ideas for another quilt or two.

Fabric storage

I've seen this idea a couple of times - cubes from Target, stacked together and your cutting board on top. Everything together and handy - bliss!

Science

I took my boys to our local science centre. They stood for almost an hour discussing physics. I just loved watching their concentration, their enthusiasm!

Painting

I had seven weeks off over Christmas. It meant I had time to look around the house and work out how I'd like to repaint the walls. I also went over to www.art.com for some inspiration for prints for the walls. This is one of my favourites.

Cushion

We went to the coast for the long weekend. This is one of the cushions at the beach house.

I took a photo because it's so simple. Just squares of fabric and sewn into place. Nothing to it. They used lovely silky fabrics.

Ben's stitches

A week ago, Ben jumped off a low wall before school and landed on his chin. He needed three stitches and two days home to recuperate.

Today we went back to the doctor to get the stitches out. Ben asked the nurse if she could put the stitches in a specimen jar for him to keep. I'll need to cover the wound for a month now with micro pore paper tape.

I've been trying to work out what to do with a jellyroll I bought last July. I set aside last Sunday to work out what to do with it, and could not for the life of me decide. But this might be it. It's just over-the-top crazy. You don't know where to look! I just love it.
